Welcome to Advanced Chiropractic + Wellness Centre!
Our mission is to help the community of Stouffville and the surrounding areas to achieve their state of optimum health. We do this with the most advanced technology in chiropractic care, accompanied by the highest quality of health care, attention and service. For over 125 years, chiropractic care has helped people to be healthy from the inside out. We strive to help you get better faster, stay better longer, and spend less money on health care.
It is imperative that every single person understands that health is not just the absence of illness. It is the ability to live every single day without relying on medication, being active, and also able to deal with environmental and emotional stress without falling ill. A large component of optimum health is having a nervous system (the brain, spinal cord, and nerves) that is functioning properly. Chiropractic care treats the nerves, using spinal adjustments that increase neurological input to decrease pain and muscle spasms, and ensure better health.
In order to make your visits as easy and efficient as possible, please read and adhere to the following policies:
When you arrive at the office please remove your shoes and give your first and last name to the front desk staff. When a room becomes available, one of the chiropractic assistants will let you know if either treatment room 1 or 2 is available.
Remove all items such as cell phones/wallets/scarves/jewelry as necessary to prepare for the adjustment; you may place them on the chair in the corners. Please sit face forward on the ProAdjuster, as demonstrated to you on your first visit. You may also follow the instructions for the neck stretches that we have provided in the rooms. This will allow your muscles to relax before your treatment and indicate to the doctor that you are ready for treatment.
Please do not adjust the seat as the doctor will do this prior to your adjustment. The ProAdjuster is for the doctor’s skilled hands only and we ask that you don’t touch the computer or adjusting equipment.
During the winter and rainy days, we ask that you take off your shoes/boots and use the slippers provided.
To allow for patient privacy upon check-in/out, please do not hover at the front desk. We will be with you as quickly as possible.
Payment is due when services are rendered. Please ask if you require a statement for submission to your insurance company. We accept VISA, MasterCard, debit, cash or cheque, or e-transfer. A $30.00 NSF fee will be charged for all returned cheques.
Block Payment Options are available. You have the option to purchase 4, 8, 12 or more treatments at a time and receive a discount off the package price. This also allows for faster checkout.
Once a condition develops and progresses, it will gain speed and become more serious as it continues. Our treatments are designed to overcome this momentum, and then to subsequently correct the original cause of the disorder. Chiropractors specialize in corrective spinal care and rehabilitation.
In order for results to be obtained in the least time possible we ask our patients to maintain their regular appointment schedule. If a grade one student attends school only one day a week, he will stay in grade one forever. The responsibility of relieving your pain and restoring your health was the first consideration in deciding to accept your case, so naturally, we are concerned when you miss your appointments.
We have planned a method of care and treatment for each case. Even though patients may have similar conditions or disorders, they will not necessarily respond in the same manner. Each patient is an individual: we believe in PERSONAL ATTENTION and INDIVIDUAL CARE.
If an appointment absolutely must be missed, we request that you discuss it personally with the doctor in advance. Often, missed appointments, vacations, or trips at the wrong time can greatly slow and even reverse the progress that has been made. The treatments will not work if you are not here to receive them.
If you are running late PLEASE CALL. We will always attempt to fit you into the schedule for a later appointment that day, if not your appointment will be rescheduled to another day/time. If you are running 5-10 minutes late, the front desk staff will call to make sure everything is okay.
Registered Massage Therapy Appointment Policy
We require 24 hour notice on cancelled appointments. Missed appointments without a prior call to the office, or appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full. We understand there will be emergencies, so please call and let us know.
Friends and Family
Your friends and family are welcome to accompany you during your adjustments or initial visits. We also provide toys to keep children entertained. It is the parents’ responsibility to monitor their children and to ensure their safety in our office; Advanced Chiropractic and Wellness Centre assumes no liability.
If you know anyone who may benefit from our care, please tell the doctor or front desk staff. We can provide you with all necessary information such as literature or our website information.
Your family and friends are welcome to have a free mini-consult and office tour to find out if chiropractic care may help them. Please inform the front desk to book a time for their free mini-consult with the doctor. The more people we can help, the closer we are to achieving our mission of bringing greater health to the community!
